The Eltel CTERP-2000 is a Microprocessor based light weight portable test set that measures the
excitation current, turns ratio, winding polarity and winding resistance of single or multi-ratio
Relaying & Metering Current Transformers, The CTs can be tested in-site conditions, so
eliminating the need to remove them from the system. During faults in an electrical power
system, the Relaying Current Transformers operate at high over current levels. ANSI Standards
specify the steady state performance of the CTs at these levels. The CTERP-2000 performs
tests on Relaying CTs as per ANSI & IEC Test Standard requirements. In addition, the
CTERP-2000 measures the Insulation Resistance & Power Factor of the CT secondary.
