The Model 2509 Instrument Current Transformer is a 6300 A ampere CT designed for precision measurement of AC current or for Instrument Current Transformer calibration applications. The CT can be installed on a bus bar or it can be used with a primary conductor consisting of number of turns. The 6300 CT is designed with a tapped primary & a tapped secondary winding, thus providing a large number of ratios over a range of 5 to 6300 amperes.
• Burdens of 1A and 5A for IEC & ANSI specifications are available • 40VA, 20VA, 10VA, 7.5VA, 6.25VA, 5 VA and different combinations of these at 0.8 PF 3.75, 2.5, 1.875, 1.25 & 1VA at 1.0 PF.
The ANSI Current transformer burden is designed for loading the current transformer during accuracy Tests. The ANSI burden is designed as per ANSI burden C57.13. It can be used along with the Eltel Automatic Instrument Transformer Test Set to test CTs as per ANSI Standards.
